HMRC are still putting together the portal to claim under the Job Retention Scheme the site states as follows:

HMRC are working urgently to set up a system for reimbursement. We expect the first grants to be paid within weeks, and we’re aiming to get it done before the end of April. If your business needs short term cash flow support, you may be eligible for a Coronavirus Business Interruption Loan.

There is still no guidance or specific assistance from the UK Government for the Self Employed but the Chancellor has tweeted today (24/03/20) that they are working on it:

@RishiSunak: We understand the situation many self-employed people face at the moment and are determined to find a way to support them.

I will be making a further announcement on this in the coming days. #coronavirus
